This company can't tell whether it's coming or going. Try working in logistics where you see money wasted hand over fist because a bunch of store f--K ups and know nothing corporate idiots practicality dictate where your labor dollars are spent and how. Look no further to how well our stores are ran, inventory availability, and overall customer service to know it's the blind, leading the blind. Such a shame really

This was never a great company.
I'm a former WORLDPAC employee, over 20 years. WP has been all smoke and mirrors as relating to managements role in the historical growth they've shown. Once Robert Cushing took the helm, all the idea people were either shuffled out or beat down and Bob simply rode his predecessor's direction to glory. That is until the market changed and required something new. Internally, we got something we had never seen before, our CEO on a whirl wind tour of the company angrily pacing behind the lectern as a stream of curse seasoned threats and blame only interrupted by the pounding of his fist spewed forth. I didn't realize it then, but Bob did, he didn't know what to do. His playbook had been written by someone else and he had neither the wisdom nor the courage to draw up his own. This all started around 2010 or 11, and was a result of gpi's desire to sell and the profit numbers in decline.gpi was a joke that really got bad when advance got into the picture. These companies long ago lost their role in the world, trading being an auto parts supplier for a profit maker. That works, for the short term, but when it all boils down and your talent does not align with your core business, wall street will find another girlfriend and all the cussing, fist banging, and threatening in the world won't help.
It's damn funny I was a GM in the 2307 District Snack BIttten is what the RVP JR. Told My DL several period's ago. But guess what now many great GM's have lost there job's and a great DL (David) that cared about his GM's. Today less than three day I have had three DL's. and changed regions that should tell our customers something. Advance Auto Parts bought CARQUEST but we have been the only changes. They don't have a clue or care about there employee's its bad that you feel going to work it could be you last day there. I was a Sargent with a Sheriff's Dept. and give orders at work or over the phone that I would take full responsibility for. And upper management can do that over car parts. PDQ,CARQUEST and WORLD PAC. is a joke where AAP we own both but cant order a part other than second source. That's a joke with the training we can give our employee's and SPEED PERK'S it dose not help small town older customers that dose not have EMAIL or SMARTPHONE. All I can say is GREAT job Advance Auto Parts. Its a small town I have grown u here and am a GM there. It's personal with me an them they don't even like Wal-Mart they cost many jobs. Where not Knoxville or Nashville where a small town. But we LOVED DL David Rosenburger he was down to earth.
Couldn't agree more.

The same is true in Raleigh and Roanoke.
