Project Andromeda Question - June 2017: Does anybody know about new project called Andromeda, this is Cisco's cloud version of UCSM and they are projecting roadmap till 2020, I am still not convinced they can catch up in cloud market with so late entry.. your views ?

No large consumer of UCS (large Enterprises) are going to be managing their UCS servers via a cloud portal. Maybe the SMB space will, but then again, they just need a basic x86 server. This is just a way for the UCS group to justify it's existence and call themselves "Cloudy". We'd be a more cloudy company if we migrated off of Exchange and onto Gmail.
So the features you want will be available in 2020?

@vwq Nailed it. It is a "me too" product.
Yes, I think it will sweep the market. A Unified Controller for Service Management (UCSM) is exactly the kind of innovation the industry has been craving for.
thelayeoff.com A place to discuss projects and share internal project names. If you are a not so clever Cisco employee then this is definitely the thread for you. If you are a competitor after intel from not so clever Cisco employees then this is definitely the thread for you.
Andromeda is a cloud version for Cisco, but not for Cisco's customers!
