Course development moratorium

Moratorium on course development? What are we supposed to do in the meantime? Start cleaning out our desks and look for new jobs? Something's up at Sperling.

I emphasize that some work on existing programs has been frozen. No new programs will be approved--that's the HLC and DOE thing. This moratorium is something else.

I emphasize new. I heard her say it. This does not apply to existing degree programs. Development is still occurring within current programs. And yes, both HLC and DOE have put the kabash on new degree programs.

No. Its unrelated to HLC and DOE. Some work is going on but some is not. There are different reasons being about why. So some teams can catch up. Something else about Blackboard.

According to the Provost there is a moratorium on all new degree programs. This was mandated by the HLC and DOE because of the merger. Curriculum development for current programs is still being conducted.

My department was told there are many new degrees and classes being developed. What is going on?
