What caused the facility explosion in the eagle ford yesterday? All I have heard is that they are blaming Hillcorp sine they installed the line. (6 yrs ago)

Same way they have known about pipelines going to fail but stated cost to much to replace so now you have a big spill every couple of weeks! Sad to see a great company become a sad excuse of what it was!
There was a fire/explosion that damaged equipment and burned 100+ acres last week. The line that ruptured was installed by Hilcorp. Other existing facilities have similar installations. It will interesting to see how Marathon rectifies this and other issues they inherited when they purtchased these properties from Hilcorp.
How can they expect to have competent people when these were the first to go in the plethora of layoffs!

Yeah... blame the previous operator! Maybe if they had competent people that knew how to pig lines and inspect them and do general maintenance on them this wouldn't have happened....
