Previous articles from 2006 and 2001 point to ineffective senior leadership as the reason for 2000+ layoffs. 2017 is no different when the C level execs are banking over $100 million in bonuses but slashing employees. The goal everything is a service, quality is not important and anyone is expendable. Severance is way down and if you want a great place to work Coke is not it.

Coke does not care about its employees. It is a terrible place to work. In at least 2 all hands meetings this year the need for a younger workforce was discussed at length. This exercise was all about getting rid of anyone close to retirement age before they reach. Impact was large so they can cover that up. Jobs will be reposted at less pay. Those over 45 need not apply. I hope there is a large lawsuit over this. They s---!!!
I disagree with the a lot of what you said. I was impacted by the layoffs, but Coke treated me very well and I am happy with the time I have spent at Coke. I agree with you that more were impacted than was previously announced. many positions' pay grades were cut substantially. Coke goes through reorgs constantly, this is really nothing new. in a couple of years they will want to hire everyone back. I still wont drink pepsi!
