All employees are just tools of somebody to generate profits
That's kind of how companies work.
I agree. I think everyone at Schlumberger is a TOOL.
I heard it's almost half it's size from the peak after acquisitions. Figure out them more than 50k
Tool will be replaced by tool pusher! In this case investors.
We alwaysnwant to make team usefull, we fire non profitable employee and hire new yung energetic for team.
We become great again.
So, what would you do when you picked the wrong tool with the price tag of $50 mil? Actually there are many other useless million-dollar tools in SLB.
Following your logic: All employees are just tools of somebody to generate profits, likewise your ancestors as human are also tools of PK to generate sh-- like you.
Why do you blame your leadership ????
You are just a tool for your manager and pk....
the same way pk is tool for investors and shareholders!
This happens when you have idiots in senior management and the board of directors.
This is called technology diffusion, other competitors absorb the talents from big blue, it will definitely neutralize the original purposes of the Smith/Cameron merge. What a waste the billion $ spent for the merger. Technology stripping vs technology diffusion, one way or the other. Winner is the customers of the services.
120k SLB to 80K. Not sure how many Cameron added and then got let go after. Headcount is around 90k now. Prior to buying Smith in 2009 the company was at 60k people.
