I used to work in the Paducah K-mart. When i left there were missing floor tiles, burnt out lights, filthy bathrooms and lots of empty shelves. I visited the store recently and was pleasantly surprised. All the aforementioned deficiencies were corrected. However, there were no shoppers. People have given up on K-mart. I suspect Corporate is trying to sell this lease?Company does not own Paducah. Problem with this store is its a "tear down." Not sure there are enough years left on lease to amortize a new store? They can always make a flea market out of the site? Then the store would be move-in ready. Yes, the store does look better. But like putting lipstick on a pig. Still a pig. Good luck to those associates still hanging in there.

Can't tell the difference
I was in a flea market that was a former Kmart last year. Needless to say, the place was a dump.
