GE and Cutting Dividends

Cutting dividends is the kiss of death. The stock will take even more of a beating. Imagine not only paying out variable incentive comp at a time of extreme cash flow problems, but increasing the target payout for next year.

What does that tell you about GE management?

Predix and its blue smoke and mirrors will not save GE. Many investors have already dumped GE stock. It will likely get worse.

With Current by GE and Predix, MBA's programs will have a wealth of information for research papers on "how not to build a Startup," for years to come. It is as if GE had stated, "the history of business and all of the associated research is wrong, we know how to do it, we're GE." 40 years of business research in the Tech. Industry is available and they ignored it all.
