Layoffs usually follow shortly thereafter. Brace yourselves

Just Christmas treed my survey. LOL
@NCDzSDc-1evp no one at DeVry has contracts.
I was just about to say the same thing that @NCDzSDc-1slv said. While I agree that DVU is a horrible entity that doesn't deserve to survive, most of us faculty try our best to help the students in every way that we can. We feel obligated to overcompensate for the ridiculous shortcomings in "customer service" that the rest of the university provides - or fails to. Be careful not to paint us with too broad a brush. Many of us are striving for a good cause and fighting against these evils from the inside.
@NCDzSDc-1oze what do you mean we do no good for society? Students in my classes learn what they are supposed to. They get what they came for. How does that not help them? I am sorry but you are wrong. I honestly believe that I am doing something positive through my actions and interactions.
@NCDzSDc-1oze I'm with you, man. I'd give anything to get laid off and escape my stupid contract. Every year I pray they'll pick me, but they pass over me every damn time. The whole company just needs to die and set everyone free to recover their lives and careers.
Good. Lay all you fkers off. You and everyone at Devry are evil fcks for working there in the first place. You absolutely do no good for society.
They lay off and then hire new people at lower pay.
Someone actually said they don't expect any mass layoffs this year because there's no one left to lay off and we're actually hiring in almost all departments. I say that's BS because we've had layoffs every year for the last...how many years? At least five. Maybe more. I would bet money that there will be layoffs, even if they are not in bulk. After all, management has been doing things under the radar lately.
