I thought OPEC cutting production would help maintain prices but oil keeps dropping.
Looks like Surmont isn't going to make its break even. When is management going to say we messed up, take the hit and sell that asset at a loss.

It's been obvious for about 2 years that Surmont isn't going to break even until there is a fundamental shift in the oil market. Of course, the SVP, VP Ops and the VP Dev really believed Surmont would break even in 2018. It certainly wouldn't with them running the show. Sadly, they have been replaced by people who know even less about how to make it happen. The new *dents have kept all the managers who overstaff and waste time creating processes on how to ask to go to the restroom, and they will cut most of the people who add value.
Electric cars is the future. Dont be Kodak
Bought electric car.
You think your smart and that's great. Many people will make money out of your ignorance and sjw attitude. This is perfect.
I sure hope you don't work in O&G.
Even aside from what the vehicle runs on. The energy required to mine all that lithium for the 1000lb battery in your Tesla, the ecological impact and additional energy required after a few years involved with safely disposing of or recycling that battery after a few years. There isn't a perfect answer and you can't just buy an electric car, announce you've solved the problem.
If you think your electric car runs off of wind and solar power only, you are living in a dream land. As well that car of yours is largely maded from petroleum byproducts. Get your facts first before spouting off. The old saying "It is better to be thought of as a fool, than open your mouth and remove all doubt".
I bought an electric car. Get with the times oil and gas will be done.
I'm doing my part. You should too
