Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

What assets will be shed next after selling all Marcellus?

Such a nice company to work with! Any more layoffs?

first, Noble will sink a quarter billion into Gabon, like they did in Falklands. Need to sell all of operated west Africa assets.

Put on your thinking caps people. History repeats itself. If an asset has no growth potential, then it usually becomes a non-core asset. You then have to ask yourself, in the current economic environment, does the Deepwater arena worldwide have a place in today's marketplace. Especially for a small player. I'm afraid the Eagleford will be a case of buy high and sell low.

Nice company? Seriously who can believe that? Intentional bad decisions aimed at making things look better financially than they are and which foul up the lives of every real employee and their families for the sole reason of enriching top management. Nice is not the right word.

The Eagle Ford is toast. Don't get too comfortable South Texas people.

They still have fairly ugly balance sheet. I look for them to divest more in the DJ Basin. They make NO money here... they should get out.

No layoffs happening in Colorado. But what the company is doing is encouraging attrition and not replacing those who leave. A slow down size for overall cost savings.
