Given recent developments how many of you trust cop sr mgmt when they speak of truth and candor and openness?

After the last 2 years I trust them even less. That's not saying much as I've always been cynical.
In fact they're very easy to come by. You take the technically weak people with poor social skills, the ones tou don't know what to do with, and you "promote" them. During layoffs, you protect them and maintain twice as many as needed for team sizes. They are indeed a dime a dozen.
Right now technical people are very easy to get. Managers are not.
Truth, candor, and hypocrisy. That's the reality. And to the "leader" who said
"...managers are very difficult to find or
replace. Technical people are a dime a
dozen."
That's exactly the kind of management thinking that placed the company where it is today.
Aaaaahahahaha haaahaha oh geez. That was a good one. Thank you for helping me start my weekend with a laugh. I just imagined one trying to do actual work like those "technical people" you have such a low opinion of and nearly dampened my trousers.
At the end of the day managers are very difficult to find or replace. Technical people are a dime a dozen.
Thank you for the advice Mr. or Ms. manager. I hope you got a fair price for your soul.
I hope all of you sad, bitter people get the hell out. Just go somewhere else so we aren't subjected to your dramatic complaining anymore.
A management team out of touch with its employees, the industry and technology. A bunch of useless luddites. Get some fresh ideas in your half assed company....and that doesnt mean selling your soul to Halliburton.
they lie and use lower mgmt as their mouthpieces, if you aren't in the cool guys club you aren't worth telling the truth to
Don't forget "fit for purpose." Amusing how every year or two management gets a "big idea" and starts pushing for what should have been obvious all along. Even more amusing or sad, depending on your stance, is that we never actually implement these obvious truths. We just talk, and talk, and talk about it. Nauseating.
How can one trust management when they want the stock holders to vote for withholding the amount spent on lobbying in the Proxy. What else are they withholding? I voted against every director on the proxy. Also the ELT should be terminated with cause and escorted out of the building. No severance package and proceed with a claw back of bonuses paid out over the last 3 years!
Trustworthiness and integrity are of the utmost importance to me, in all relationships. I no longer see either in the company's leadership. I have no confidence in anything we're told about the future.
The list of incompetence is too long to be simply bad luck: signing long-term deepwater drillship, Lower 48 office, and executive jet leases; the COST project being more about promotion than making needed structural changes; the horrific treatment of employees during layoffs; the lack of accountability for hypocritical leadership... the rank and file employees see this and have lost hope.
I see a sad mix of lies and lack of competence.
I've had an ELT member lie to me multiple times. Once this has happened and allowed by our leader and internal company controls, there's no going back.
A joke. I was cynical before this mess. Don't believe a thing they say now.
Absolutely insulting. They've blown any degree of credibility they once had over the last 30 months.
