These should be real easy and obvious. They've let go of so many peiple and kept the same amount of leaders.

Surmont field staff Monday, Calgary office Tuesday. No word on breakdown between the two, but expect some big changes in the field as well
Any update on the layoff .. All 300 from office or also from Surmont ?
This company is such a mess. And you now habe thr same managers making the choices as before.

Ahhh the IOC, what a jem in managments eyes... all that money with no direction. Now the one who pushed it thru is elsewhere... Alaska. What are they going to do when they consolidate down on 5,6&7 for the next little while? Well, they won't have it for long once the sale to CNRL/Suncor goes thru. Jump ship now and show no loyalty to this piece of crap company.

That was my first comment on this this thread. Perhaps I agreed or restated too closely what someone else had said. In general we all feel the same, so you're likely to see some overlap in the comments.

I'm sure there will be Surmont layoffs. But guess what, you're going to have to work with all the former "leaders" when they show up in your BU. Makes a lot of sense, especially since they tend to earn bigger paychecks due to having been a "manager."

Either way the new cad president got it together. Cost prject was a mess but he made up for it. He got way more than we should habe for yhe canadian assets!

Yeah the only problem with that is how many useless leaders we have will be demoted and intern bump a hard working person on the tools out of there job.
This company is not what any of us signed up for and ever since they started working on the Surmont project the so called leaders with there heads up there a-- have been making the wrong decisions.
