Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

PDC Question

Could someone please shed some light on the PDC process, precisely the notification part, do all applicants get notified? Or just the ones receiving offers? what about those who receive no offers, do they still get notified? Thanks

If your are left standing you will get an email from your PDR for a 10 min meeting. Also invited is your HR rep. Probably before your colleagues get there offer letters

OP, not sure wants going on but the sounds familiar to the major oil company I work at.

Resourcing used to be a very transparent process. Now jobs appear and disappear without warning or ability to track. Rarely is feedback on job application status or outcome received if not selected.

Last PDC I knew my workgroup colleague was unsuccessful when I heard shreaking followed by unrelenting bawling coming from the office two doors down from mine. Poor guy. Some of us take these things a little too personal.

OP, you can follow up with your PDR and also with your supervisor. Your supervisor must sign off on all PDC applications an end them to the PDR. In my experience, about half the time I've probably received "the bad news" of not being selected directly from the job position manager themselves. The other half of any unsuccessful applications came to me from my PDR or supervisor. You can also kind of suppose you're not selected for the job if you hear nothing up to two days after the PDC meets.

I would ask this question to your PDR and not on a layoff board, they get paid to answer these.
