fundamental changes to the org are required, lots of luxury titles with little return on their high dollar costs. company fundamentally has no clue how to engage at an executive level. if it doesnt have ontap running on it, most of the company can't sell it. fiefdoms, and minimal innovation result in turf protection and doubling down on failed product lines. organization has poor leadership and an opt-out culture that results in lots of analysis paralysis and fear. any startup farts in their direction and it sends off an email storm of panic. company is a bloated zombie.
SolidFire has been impacted significantly. Both frontline sales and managers have been given 60 days to find a new position within the company or receive severance pay equal to 1-month salary for every year of employment. I smell another failed acquisition by NetApp. The sad thing is that former NetAppers like myself want to see the company succeed they just keep coming up short and dropping the ball. Maybe HCI will save them, supposed to be GA in Oct, but even that will be how many years late.
end of the year hammer coming... if results are below expectations, the cut will be deeper than before.
Some of the MFers who need to be canned somehow survive. I don't get it. A lot of empty suits and douche canoes with titles, but no skills. TMEs and CSEs with ZERO skills and motivation. Can them all!!
Bs..? So you are an expert in running corporations and nothing bad ever happens? Open you damn eyes no tech company is sustaining growth ..you fool .
Under performing is sheer bs....
So underperforming employees got let go? That's part of good business
Solidfire Sales teams were not "eliminated".
Few senior director let go as well
Solidfire Sales-Teams eliminated
They have to do a note if its above a certain percentage in the company. Since it was below that threshold no note but yes PS people got cut
In the past, layoffs were always proceeded with an official note from CEO the morning of the layoff. No such note today.
dozen or so let go in PS today
