What is MT and what is rage quitting? Yes, I work in corporate and I dont know what MT is. Never heard that abbreviation and am curious.

Doesnt rage quitting just hurt you? If you have another job, no it doesnt but if you dont and have bills to pay?

It has been many years since I worked in the stores, but the DMs I dont think are purposefully trying to mess up anyone.

And most corporate people, myself included, are just trying to do a good job and keep their job as long as they can.

Yes, the corporate troll will stop posting now. My nickname can be CT.

It might be nice if some of the DMs got hit with layoffs eventually. I have to wonder if some of them really are as incompetent as they seem, or are just in on the whole scheme and are trying to encourage people to leave of their own accord so they can avoid paying severance. I heard that one of them basically told managers all over their district earlier in the week that they could allow some OT to fix various problems in each store. Then on Friday, they flip-flopped and told all the SMs that no OT was allowed...after numerous associates had already racked up enough extra hours that they'd either have to just do the OT anyway or cripple store coverage for Friday and Saturday.

The layoffs are beginning to hit managers and people who've been there many years. Not just the associates, even at Hoffman. Other people are finally getting the hint and rage-quitting of their own accord.

I won't name names, but several key folks in MT have quit and others have been laid off. The rest are stuck overworked and understaffed.

In the meantime, I'm sure that the execs will get their children parachutes and bonuses, even though employee bonuses were zero this year.

You guys do realize Sears is going the way of the Dinosaur right? There will be no emerging from bankruptcy, simply because Sears is a failed and obsolete business.

There is no need for it anymore.

It's never ending is it? I heard 30 MT / content associates would be let go this week. I hope not to cause fear for people on those teams reading this, I could be wrong but I did hear it from someone in HR.
