In this Lowe's asks does 1% of the workforce being let go really matter???? It makes me think of the story of the old man walking down a beach with his grandson and seeing thousands of fish that have washed to the shore. The old man picks up one fish and throws it back into the ocean and his grandson looks at all the others left on shore and asks "Why do you even bother because there are so many fish it won't even make a difference." The old man told his grandson, "It made a difference to the one I just threw back in."
The problem with Lowe's is the 1% they are laying off are living breathing people who are trying to make a living and build a home for their families and put food on the table. Lowe's has gotten so big and careless that they no longer care about the people who work for them. Take my word for it Robert Niblock, board of directors, and anyone else who throughout the past has decided it was best to get rid of hard working employees who cared about the company they worked for, we may be a small percentage to a Great Company like Lowe's but we DO MATTER!!!! We do make a difference and if you continue to treat your employees like they don't matter it will show up on that almighty bottom line you are so concerned about. Being one of those that lost their job to a previous restructuring I just hope I live to see it happen. CARL BUCHAN & JOHN A WALKER WOULD ROLL OVER IN they're GRAVE IF THEY KNEW WHAT YOU WERE DOING TO THEIR COMPANY. It was their desire and vision that made Lowe's GREAT because they cared about the people who worked for them!!!!! Lowe's is one of the worst companies to work for now.
I can't believe that just because the layoffs are less than 1% that makes it okay!!!!! Ridiculous!!!!
