The government has been lying about unemployment since that Sack of shoot Bill Clinton was president in the early 1990's. It was at that time, that the government made up the "discouraged worker" category to miscount the long-term unemployed people so they wouldn't count against the incompetance of the US government.
This weekend the radio reported that "Unemployment in California was at an all-time low". As a foot note in the story, the radio reported "The working population was at an all-time low", which means the size of the "discouraged workers", i.e. the size of the lie by Government, is AT AN ALL-TIME HIGH !! We have very people of working age in California, able to find jobs. That's why Trump won the election!

Women stopped entering the workforce in roughly 1990. So if you look at the employment ratio, age 25-54, it peaked in 1990, and we STILL HAVEN"T RECOVERED TO THE TROUGH OF ANY PREVIUOUS RECESSION since that time !! So we have lower employment than the depths of EACH recession since 1990! This is why Obama has left office in a cloud of (hidden) shame ...
