Are the store layoffs still proceeding or are they over ? The company has posted nothing about store layoffs. How many were laid off ?

I found the lack of news coverage almost insulting. Jobs being cut at corporate made national news, and still turns up when you search for toys r us layoffs. But as far as us lowly workers on the front lines in the stores? Not a peep is being made about it. I wouldn't have known about it if it hadn't happened to me personally. I'm glad it's being discussed here.
Yep. At least 2 from every store. I got the ax after 6 years. I was a kick-a-- supervisor. But I was also maxed out on pay, so they cut my expert position and kept the chick they hired a few months ago as the specialist. I don't know who else was cut, because frankly, I don't wanna talk to those sonsa b--ches any more.
Every store lost 2-3 full time slots. If there were no generic full time "specialist" positions to cut they let supervisors go instead. Do the math
866 stores * 2-3 people per store.
They just chopped out their knees thou, I give this company 2 more years before they end up like sears and RadioShack. If you missed this round of layoffs...see the signs start looking for a new job now.
