Perhaps Lowes corporate should take a better look at how store managers choose their department managers and sales specialists. When you select people based on appearance and how likable they are or whose buddy or cousin they are rather than knowledge, experience, and the interview process your bound to get incompetent people. It is a shame the the good ones have to go too but when you pee in the soup its all got to be tossed.

All I know is store managers are dropping like flies now. I know 3 in my district fired last month.. Something tells me Lowe's is under pressure from this change and selection..

I believe the process should have either been one of 2 ways. First an independent firm comes in and does all interviews. Reviews all qualifications. Talks to ALL ASM's and their thoughts. Store Managers should have ZERO influence. Why?? Because He picked his team. The ASM's and the ASM's should select their team. Store Managers are egotistical morons most of the time. Power hungry b--ches. The 2nd way probably the cheapest is all candidates should go to another store to interview there so its unbiased. Either way would have been better then what they did. The Store Manager in Lowe's has way too much power and just like anyone with lots of power they turn corrupt.
