I have noticed quite a few people missing the past couple weeks. I didn't know them well enough to know their home phones so I could check and see where they went. Is Bartlesville having layoffs? Did these missing people transfer or did they get laid off?

I am thankful for severance! The possibility of having to let my house go and having bad credit follow me wherever I go is bad enough.
Yes there is, just read the HR manual before putting out mis information.
No need to pay severance if you fire less than 10-percent.

And it was at Phillips 66. Not saying it doesn't happen here at COP though... Just not this incident.
That incident is from few years back. It was a guy and two female coworkers.
I heard that there were three guys. They were caught afterhours in 10th floor conference room. Disciplinary action was taken. Do not know how much was truth but I ain't be using any 10th floor rooms.
They laid off here and there last year before announcing the larger layoff. Once a certain percentage is to be cut, they have to announce it publically. Keeping it hush-hush tends to keep everyone the community from knowing what is really going on. Many who work in Bartlesville are not from Bartlesville, nor do they live in Bartlesville.
Possible Alien abductions. People go missing in the night never to be seen again. Get your foil hat ready for the martian merger. At least thays the rumour I heard.
Check the Org Charts. If they're gone the information that pulls up for them will be cleared. Probably layed off though. The person's immediate group will hear about it, but other than that it happens under cover of darkness, and they hide it as if it didn't happen.
