Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

What is going on with the move of PTC to HFE in Sugar-Land?

Rumors in the field indicate there will be a SEVERE detector and PNG shortage, as most of the highly skilled PTC workers are not relocating, nor are most of the managers and HFE doesn't know a gamma ray detector from a smoke detector.

Adding to that, HFE can't build or test a PNG!!

Tool maintenance personnel in the field and CRE's are being told to expect a high number of failures and to write up each one on an SQ.

What is the real story, as us folks in the field are told the whole move is turning out to be nothing short of a huge disaster. Heads should roll, if it is going to take 6+ months to get the new HFE version of PTC to deliver to the field.

Only about 30% of PTC chose to move to Houston. PTC used to make just detectors, but now makes neuron tubes. Old PCT facility was hard to secure, too close to shopping, and the property was worth too much.

It's true the people in Princeton are much brighter than the folks at HFE. It will be interesting to see what happens to those responsible when deliveries can't be made. They will likely march in more French useless POS. Hopefully Trump will find a way to stop the influx of these rude French f***s into AMERICA.
