When the sellout to Quad happened, they wouldn't tell exactly how many people lost work because people could apply at Quad.
People who did found there were about 1/8th the available jobs at about 1/2 the pay of their Cabela's job, but locked in mortgages they accepted major pay cuts to stay employed and others stayed unemployed. Still no number from how many stayed unemployed, because they waited out the storm and said, "We don't know yet."
Same case scenario here. People are "encouraged to apply for other positions in Cabela's."
Yeah. That sounds like a promising opportunity! Yet something tells me we will never hear the number of people who don't get rehired and remain unemployed.
