No, they can't be trusted, like what the other person said, even if you do a good job, meet goals, do your work, or have worked there for more than 10 years they will find ways to fire you, once you get the big bonus and big raises. If they really like you they could possibly keep you there, but I've see good hard working people who have worked there for 10 plus years only to get the pink slip, in the meantime they like to get rid of the old ask hire a bunch of new faces. Hence, favortism. They are big on training people that they really like and choose all theses special projects for them to do. C'mon no one has a college degree in my department.

In my experience Aetna cannot be trusted. The area I work in seems to cut corners and do whatever it takes to insure profits, including not following regulatory procedures.

I worked for Aetna/US Healthcare for 20+ years. I took Aetna's early retirement offer and so glad I did. I worked for a unit whose supervisor would attend management meetings and none of the higher ups would ever acknowledge our unit. Our supervisor would have to ask what about...... She is always told "we haven't forgot about you". Well during these management meetings for the last year or so management has never had anything to say about our team. We more or less ran ourselves. The only way management would communicate with our team was when something was not done to their liking. We never received any acknowledgement of being part of a bigger team. Our unit is responsible for bringing in millions of dollars worth of premiums while being abused by customer's because a majority of the problems is that billing issues take a lifetime to get resolved in addition to work being outsourced offshore. The company and upper management have chosen to ignore a great team that resolves issues that are not even in their job descriptions. And it's just not Aetna you cannot trust. It appears Coventry has taken over some of the upper management positions that were held by Aetna employees and Coventry is even shadier than Aetna

Absolutely not. If you come to work daily, do a good job, remain loyal to the company, buy into their "Values" you will be rewarded with a"job termination" when your salary and compensation gets too high, you get too old or you have worked there for more than 20 years. Your can work nights and weekends sacrificing your personal life only to be disgarded to meet some arbitrary budget number while the executives maintain their high salaries, stock options and outrageous bonuses. This is corporate greed at it's finest. They have no ethics. I suggest if you work at Aetna leave, if Aetna has offered you a job, decline the offer. Make no mistake, Aetna terminates really good, honest, hard working employees all the time with no warning at all. I won't even get into how they are ripping off their members. If you have a conscience, this is not the place for you.
