And I forgot about the confusing, horribly designed, sale riddened web site. If you make the customers work that hard in this day and age, they will go elsewhere. Eapecially when competitors are cheaper with better service!!!!
Whether or not the BP deal goes through or not, Cabela's is not far behind. The stores have gotten embarrassingly bad both in looks and inventory, the outfitters don't care and are overworked, and the corporate moral is as bad as I have ever seen (I've besn through 2 layoffs elsewhere).
The hole that they have dug is too deep and they have completely lost their brand position.
