Yes, I also wonder why they would hire highly qualified Indians, Chinese and Europeans when there are so many unqualified unemployed Americans. Really bizarre, isn't it?

Deport all H1Bs and leave jobs to Americans.
Tougher making money selling chips these days. Too much compensation in Apps and Modem. Easier to boost profits by laying off Americans and hiring cheap H1-B labor.Only problems are good people will leave when they see their colleagues let go and new hires lack experience and bring cultural baggage that will further ruin company.
