Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

BT Inventory

...the day members of BT call out, religiously, every year. Six members of our department--two never, ever show up. And there's not a damn thing mgmt can do about it. The most classless, greedy, self centered bunch of jerks I've ever been around.

How long before furniture and mattresses gets leased to someone? It would cut down on inventory money tied up, we wouldn't be delivering it anymore and I'm sure they'd cut the commission structure, too. Save them a ton, just like open sell in shoes.

Doomed. It's a slow death spiral. And it's sad.

If I had a penny for every time I had to tell a guest that the delivery fee on a $499 TV stand was $99, prompting them to walk. Wow. I could retire tomorrow.

BT is way off. Nobody going into the rug room. Then again, we hired two of the dumbest people ever to sell rugs. They stand around and shrug all day, and BT associates are prohibited from selling rugs. Great biz plan.

Any further information on BT possibly going lease like the rest of the store?

Not to mention our obnoxious delivery fees. Regardless of how much you buy.
