Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Transformation: where is it?

Check out the latest SLB earnings call transcript. There is no mention of the Transformation. That makes it 2 quarters in a row where the Transformation is not mentioned by management when talking to analysts. Is the writing on the wall for the end of the Transformation?

the only transformation happening is up in the @SS of G8-G14 performers. And it's causing them motion sickness

Those companies which are lean and cheap will survive. Schlumberger is too management heavy and ridiculously expensive. It has royally screwed up.

Its not the strongest that survive but those who can adapt to the changes and Schlumberger excels at change. We are changing all the time and still the #1 in the industry. The executive team must be doing something right

we would have lost much much more money and employees if it were not for the benefits of the transformation. It has kept us alive thought the crisis thankfully and we should be grateful for this

It did lose $2b last year and that did not include unrecoverable and outstanding debt. Obviously economics was not your major.😝

Engage to excel is also very effective motivation tool for the troops and ensures high performance like the transformation does, during this global crisis

If we did not have the effects of the transformation and engage to excel this company would be in a mess today and losing a lot of money

It's the big difference between us and the competition and why we still have the highest profits

Save the company mon e y....get real...it is all about useless management getting their bonuses. Where is the Engage to Excel...all gone very quiet on that front.

The Transformation is complete and Schlumberger has now been transformed into a huge out of touch oilfield services company with a failed business strategy that has wasted billions on useless acquisitions. Congratulations are in order to upper management for transforming the company.

I am not surprised we don't hear about the transformation any more

Transformation is dead. Like inif said, you can only spin bs so long before even the most dense non-technical directors smell it. Of course, they still havent caught onto the bs spun out of sdr and sgr. When will AB be held to account?

Transformation was just the next catch phrase after "Blue Print". Anyone remember that load of crap?

You can play the market only so many times using the same bs. Paypaal used big T to bamboozle the board and make them disburse huge bonuses (18M) while raking up steep losses.

2 years of T and the company is 30% smaller, balance sheet is weak, there are no new products on the horizon, Cameron turned in a loss, Smith/GeoServices integration is a joke. And guess what: that big compressed spring is just not there. No wonder he stopped spinning this crap.

But the piper has been paid, and he needs some fake success to embellish his CV before going somewhere else. Since he has no more fake ideas and the board is skeptical of anything he claims by now, he asks the employees to "think outside the box". Would be comical if the future of 60K did not depend on him.
