Can we all post our most updated information from all the BU's? any info on EOI's how many are going to be left?
I have heard that we are in discussions with 2 potential purchasers of Surmont. If this is the case we would have nothing left in Canada..... I also heard that the sale won't be announced until just after the quarterly results as they want a bump in price.
Imperial/Exxon just scaled back Kearl and CNOOC wants out of their current OS disaster with Nexen. I'd be shocked if there were serious offers on the table for Surmont from those two, or anyone else, for that matter. Surmont is a long way away from spinning positive cash unless prices really start to recover.
Layoffs coming in next two weeks, between 20-40 percent. Its being planned right now.
