I was one of the lucky ASMs to be given a package. Pretty decent one I will admit. Funny how a few of the others who were paid considerably less and did not perform as well stayed. It was a fun ride for almost the first decade but over the past few years you could see the shift from people to numbers. However I now have a family back, can sleep better and have a happier spouse. I will miss the team overall as those people made the difference. I also look at as I just got paid to quit. Something I was thinking about doing anyway.

My store was not effected by the layoffs but across town they lost a co and 3 asm's. That was April 18.
I expect the layoffs to be constant waves. It's not going to stop.
Yesterday, April 18, was when I lost mt job due as ASM due to restructuring. Ticks me off as I worked my butt off and always worked extra hours. While another ASM sits in the office most of the day and does nothing, gets to stay.
And now that they're talking about bonobos for $300 million, I expect more to come soon.
Explain Taylorism please?
In Walmart Canada, it's April 19 ... or around this date.
Amazon has the newest model of "Taylorism" and Walmart can't compete at that level of exploitation (yet).
