Thanks for clearing that up, good luck with your post schlumberger career.
Some were offered more pay when I was still there, but not much more. It was a case by case thing, but even at that it wasn't enough to offset the difference in the cost of living. Maybe they're finally realizing they really need those experienced employees. But these guys are so tight with the money I would be surprised if they ever offer enough.
Are you saying they were offered equal or less pay to move to an area with a higher cost of living but only on a case by case basis?
Fact:
They are revaluating on a case by case bases each employee's relocation benefit package. The market survey that was completed to judge the relocation benefits for each selected employee was done incorrectly. The reason I am saying a case by case basis was because they're not openly admitting this . Basically everyone that got an offer for equal to or less for them the benefits they are receiving now and that are interested in relocating can challenge the offer they have a standing or have declined. The site manager in Ponca knows of this situation but will not act unless confronted.
