I took my "fake" Argosy degree, passed both my licensing exams in the 95th percentile and work in the field my degree prepared me for. That being said for profit education needs to end. Too many victims of greed.

You still s---ing that federal welfare nipple? You're here.... so you know the train already left you behind.

EDMC hasn't turned around this scam hole... and neither are the "dream center freaks".

3clc - stop. You sound like a former employee still angry at the company and wanting to take it out on those who are still there.

I highly doubt you know anything about the decisions that are being made and frankly, if you're the same person who keeps posting about the end and all of the inside information you have, you've been far from accurate thus far. I vaguely remember someone mentioning this same time last year that the school was going to shut its doors June 2016 with absolute certainty, while you sip drinks on the beach and watch us all get sent packing...

Numbers today. And were they told about the sale?

I don't think so.

Skulldugery to the bitter end.

Can't break the habit, I guess.

Hey Kool-aids!

Every thing I said came true... is EDMC doing better? I'll buy you a drink if you can guess who I am and what campus I "work" for?

No one needs a job at an Art Institute. The place continues to scam people by offering sub par education at crazy high prices. Have some self respect and leave the diploma mill.

They don't really want Ai because it doesn't fit in with their model. They could use the culinary program, but it would become a certificate program rather than a degree, and there may be an option for a graphic design certificate, but overall, the dream center is not interested in most Ai programs since their whole premise is to provide quick job training for poor and homeless individuals. We were warned Ai would undergo massive changes if the deal went through, but it looks like that means killing the Ai brand and rolling culinary and graphics into the Argosy brand.

Isn't that the truth @MKxKczA-2pdu. Some people always say "wait until June and see what happens". I don't work at Ai anymore (I was laid off) but I have plenty of friends there that need their jobs. I don't claim to know what will happen, but trying to scare them on this site does no one any good. I believe that some people just like to vent on here, even when they don't know what they are talking about.

2sb0 - were you the one who said, "mark my words, Ai will be closed by June," meaning last year?

If I have Info, then by all means please share, but it sounds like many of you are guessing without any information to back it up because you want to see the school fail.

Remember last year when I told y'all about the end and ya just bickered and blathered. We'll... this ones a doozy and by June I'll be sipping Mojitos pool side.

The Scientology want-a-be's deal just failed.... but don't take my word for it. I'm just here for the cheap thrills.

I don't understand, after a "week in conference?" Have there been meetings with DCF that aren't going well?

Is DCF now only interested in purchasing Argosy?

It is your choice to pay $90K or not. I paid dearly when I went to college for my degrees. It took 20 years to pay the off. Creative fields are always a risky venture for a profession but I don't hear any poets or painters or video filmmakers expecting their careers to be easy. Honestly you would do better working in sales then a creative field. And If you don't want a private education there any many options at your local community college. With class sizes exceeding 50, equipment outdated and facilitates mediocre at best. I am not knocking community colleges they have there place and if Trump hadn't been elected they had a real possibility of growth under Clinton or Sanders but forget about any handouts for education now. So don't go to private school - that is your choice. My classes sizes never exceeded 15 and I knew every student by name. Worked closely with their achievement and prided myself in their growth. I can look on linked every day and see their achievements. Blame game is easy, why not take control of your education, apply yourself and you will succeed regardless of the institution or your professors. It is your life- manage it.

A career advisor from Fort Lauderdale visited our campus years ago. She shared that her "trick" to get employment forms was to have grads sign blank ones. She could just fill it in. That's not shady? 90K for a degree in animation and no job prospects. You obviously don't know how these schools have worked for years. 20 admissions people to bring them him and 3 to help with job search. The whole thing makes me so sick. Dream Center... are you sure this is what you want?

I am disgusted by the comments of the AI employee above - if they are real. If you feel that way about any place you work...move on. I worked for AI Fort Lauderdale for many years and loved the campus, students and faculty. No complaints and I am still in contact with many of the grads I taught who are successful professionals. No college is perfect but to hear such disdain for a company I loved is really sad. Our campus was always focused on the students and I never saw anything shady. I was not there when it was owned by KKR or Goldman so many of the issues came from the years with those owners. For profit education is over, but don't think nonprofits are any better... I have worked for both. Create your own future, college is a steppingstone and not the only option to success.

If any of the current employees have a soul, please tell students and potential students to leave! we are so many students with our lives are ruined, parents with kids with no roof to provide for them because damn credit issues , young kids with dreams crushed wanting to rob a bank or doing something illegal for a fast cash to pay this fu....ers, many others with anxiety , depression and health problems , many students that work in the field and paying their loans are still drowning in debt because all this is freaking lie about salaries. And you are still just gossiping ??!!! get some evidence and QUIT , We are so many students trying to fight this damn hell and you employees, if you don't do anything... karma will get you.... !!

The Dream Center must realize that Argosy degrees are a joke. A few people from my department faked their way through an easy masters degree and anyone with a PHD from Argosy is a total joke. It was free... right. Pretend you have a real degree. People from real colleges know the truth

Dream Center would be foolish to want anything to do with EDMC. I have worked at an AI for years and have stayed for a variety of personal not professional reasons. Our President is a joke and hides in her office and can barely hobble around. The Admissions people are still hyping the s-xy programs with no jobs. How they sleep at night I will never understand. My bosses seriously need to exercise more and eat less. They give the " fat people are lazy" truth. When I do leave, which I hope will be very soon, I want to help all the "taken" students get their money back. Our school was publishing false claims for a long time and I have proof. Since I will no longer be under the EDMC gag order I am going to sing like a bird. The Directors and managers that have put up the front while they instruct people to lie... I hope you never get to ruin another life. You know who you are. Dream Center... you don't want anything to do with this college. EDMC has s---ed the life out of everyone and turned their managers and directors into koolaid drinking zombies.
