Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

RG - The head of HR - MUST GO NOW!

Back in January 2016, an executive meeting in ES, RG paraded his mantra about executive and employee accountability and handed out the book "The Oz Principle: Getting Results Through Individual and Organizational Accountability" for all the officers to read and embrace. A little over a year later and all that book seems to have meant is to take older workers systematically out of the company and rise up junior level millennials (and a few dinosaurs for amusement) and try to teach them accountability and run a company.

If RG really embraced it, he would follow the example of the Samurai and "resign" with dignity after publically admitting his failure as a leader. His mantra didn't work. The company is in disarray and every new hire he brought on has been a dismal failure.

Embrace your own mantra, RG and "exit" yourself, you joke of a HR manager. Why don't you just bring in another millennial to replace yourself and join the rest of the "displaced" employees you created.

You would think that by the complete disarray that Mattel AND TRU are in, that RG would be running HR in both cases. Well, he does live in Connecticut which isn't far from Wayne, NJ......Hmmmmmm :-)

Flush this dude out to the street. He's incompetent at this job and is only successful in making the company exposed to all types of employee lawsuits (which are coming).

The problem is that while there are no doubt activist stockholders looking to improve the company, there are also "'Bro Analysts" (young 20-30 somethings that only want to milk the company for the dividend who don't have any vision of what the company really is about) fighting to keep the blood-letting activities in play. These 'Bros are ruining the company by outwardly lying about it's performance and it's outlook - and they know it.

The ridiculous combination of positive analysts report and company-generated press releases (Mega-Construx bring unity to the world? C'mon...) just look foolish and pathetic vs. the same types of messaging and activities from Hasbro, Lego or Spinmaster. Mattel is just the sad clown in a reality play that will only have one ending - it's like watching the K-Mart/Sears saga. Sad.

Only hope is to have an activist force changes or a Hasbro acquisition. We are overloaded with ineptness and Margo is lost in the chaos.
