The future of Capital Projects is uncertain!

If you don't have a letter you are staying.

If you are staying you have a decent chance of being laid off in the next few months.

If you went to Cenovus you have a smaller chance of being laid off at a later date when they decide which conventional assets they plan to divest.

Has anyone been told they are staying?

Unfortunately IT, HR REFS, procurement and HSE are all going to be drastically cut. No one to service.... no one left.

They're taking 70% of the HSE staff. Apparently there is a large amount of office furniture that needs to be held down. HR is concluding terms, they demand a Sephora in the Bow Tower and a second desktop monitor for viewing FaceBook.

Did most of the asset teams get offers?

Yes they are done sending out offers now. It was fast but they are trying to reduce uncertainty the best they can. Sad day at COP today.

The FAQ page said you can put your hand up, but no guarantees. It would s--- to inform your boss you want out, only to be told "no".

I'm one of the folks not going to Cenovus and it is a miserable and unmotivated bunch left behind. I'm very happy for my friends headed across downtown for this new opportunity. I don't see a future in the remaining assets, don't have confidence that the management left behind will be reduced, and don't think we'll ever get a chance to have a good opportunity here in Canada again under COP. Blueberry is so far out there to be a contributing asset, and Surmont is so far away from being above water.

I'd love to leave, but have nothing to go to. I need to feed my Family, but have no trust or loyalty remaining with COP after the last 2-3 years. Good luck to all.

CVE sent out just under 700 offer letters, mostly field.

Good luck to all who didn't get an offer. I'm still looking for a position after months now. That said, I don't miss COP.

Field staff received offer letters. Don't know about Calgary though.

Looks like no one is on the site anymore or they just dont care and reserved themselves to being already gone...... sad.

I will be part of the gossip and say that Cenovus offer letters are going out on Wed/Thurs and mass layoff on May 15.

Sounds like if you are being offered a position over at Cenovus you received the notification today. If you did not get one you are not going to.

I work in a corporate function and it appears they took only a couple of people.

For the rest of us it is still a matter of waiting to see if you get a package or if you still have a job.
