Dem warns Russia may gain control of US oil company

Possible loan default by PdVSA may result in majority control of CITGO US refineries and pipelines by Rosneft, a Russian company with strong ties to Putin.

What would you think about Chevron being owned by the Russians???

Do you really think the US would embrace improving relations with China in order to address only DPRK? There is much more at stake here, with Russia obviously being the ones at the far end of the table. Unless they drastically change foreign policy, look for more actions and policy designed to thwart economic growth and productivity for them, with the far end of the scale being military action with precise munitions. The next few weeks will be very telling.

Russia is no longer viable as a country. Putin is doomed after Trump pulled his pants down in Syria.

Citgo is owned by Venesuela. Russia would be a breath of fresh air.

Russia will get Tengiz for free after Chevron is done paying for it. It's in the Russians backyard and the Kazakh president is not in good health with no obvious successor. Almost all the oil has to go through Novorossisk, Russia to get to market.

I am sure Putin has a plan.

Chevron will be carved up , not sold outright. Russians will only get a piece at best.

Chevron will never be owned or controlled by Russia or any other foreign country. What even remotely makes you think that can happen?
