@MK6zo7s-3vbb. Says the person who has literally commented on every topic. Your the troll with so many important things to do in life that you are trolling this page? You are probably an ex COP that got laid off and are still bitter well and now jealous because we are now proudly owned by someone willing to put us to work.
One of the reasons this board is so active is it is really one or two people posting and reposting pretending to be a crowd. It is the same old whining about the same old things in each and every thread.
Some people just cant over the fact that they were let go - like COP owes them a living.
Just like AA, they are still in the anger phase - and need to move on to the next step of the get-a-new-life program.
Those other companies are not currently playing Russian Roulette with the careers and livelihood of their employees!
I don' like to work or want to work. I just want the money train to keep running. I like it here fine. Knocking off after lunch. Got a good tee time.

What a bunch of crying little babies. "Oh our company's gonna be sold and people are gonna be out of work. It's so sad. I'm so depressed I can't even focus on work. What ever will my spoiled family do now that we can't buy unnecessarily extravagant things and eat away from home every night?"
Sounds like you all need to get a little tougher. You're a grown a-- adult and you sound like a little kid. Instead of crying about it, get out there and make things happen for yourself, not just sit there waiting for things to fall in your lap. Because what has that attitude done for you lately? You're the problem with our country. Everyone wants a handout, wants the easy way. Well guess what, you've been on easy street since the day you signed on at COP. Now it's time to start repaying your time of easiness. It's time to find out what you're made of on the inside. My guess is that it's the same as the fake facade and you won't last. And if that's the case then good riddance- they didn't need you working for them anyway.

My wife works for Chevron, I was following their board. They had a 6 month period when they would have dozens of topics open every day - today it's much slower though. At their peak, they were much busier than we were at our peak, granted they are much bigger.
I think you are asking a legit question though, it's bad here nowadays.
FYI, COP is currently undergoing a massive Lower 48 asset sale this year. Will result in essentially a shale company in Eagle Ford, Bakken and Permian. COP sold $13.3 billion in Canadian assets last week. It is estimated that the current company wide head count will be reduced from current 13,300 to approximately 8,000-9,000. Maybe less when consideration outsourcing, automation &AI. If BP were going through this type of downsizing, suspect there would be significantly more posts. You are correct that there is little getting done during this time. May want to lightened up a little. Very stressful times at COP.
