The community I was raised had several volunteer community wide clean up programs, I was in Wellington Colorado and the depressed economic situation in Sidney came up . A man stated his daughter who lives in Greeley used to drive over to Sidney to shop at Cabela's. However she is a pretty young girl with a nice car and in Sidney is considered potentially Sidney most wanted because she may have marijuana. She has never used marijuana but has been stopped the last two times she was in Sidney once was for not going over the center line on the new bridge . This kind of nonsense you know. Her father said he knew a lot of people who used to drive over to Sidney to shop at Cabela's but not anymore for the way they threat Colorado people. It is not only Colorado residence but Sidney is becoming known as a community who try to drive their small businessman or homeowner (without a 500 thousand dollar house) out of town with new ordinances . What I would like to see for a time period is for a community wide clean up project where you assist homeowner and businesses with programs to advise or offer assistance to businesses and homeowners in the Sidney area in cleaning up their property. Sometimes there are federal funds who could be used for community wide cleanup projects. Region wide a new message would get out that the local government in Sidney Nebraska is working hard to assist homeowners and businesses in improving their businesses and homes. The new message all cross the region now is how Sidney Nebraska is placing new ordinances on businesses and home owners which state residence of Sidney can be fined if someone at city hall does not like the look of their property and a message which seem like such a anti business and homeowner policy

my side is for law enforcement to make legal stops instead of basically illegal stops. Also my side is for Sidney Nebraska to be known as a community who works hard with local residents to clean up property. instead for a community who is getting the name in sterling Colorado, Scottsbluff ne , Loveland Colorado as a community who is basically out to get your small businesses or home owners with ordinances.

I respect and appreciate the duties that come with being a police officer but the cops in Sidney are everywhere. Chill out! We're going through a very difficult time. Don't make this hell hole worse than it already is. Be on our side.
