Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Sperry SDL in Broussard apparently laid offon March 29th but circumstances around the layoffs seem shady since they just hired new hires.

This is not unusual an unusual practice amongst the big three. Both BHI and SLB were hiring new people in the past two years, while at the same time laying off experienced people.

This is true, in the new world of Halliburton 'management', it is cheaper to pay for the cost of any fk ups, than the cumulative cost of keeping experienced hands, and their benefits on the payroll.
