There's a good amount of nasty post....some deserved........How about some opinions about the sale or no sale....There are obvious pro's and con's for either way it goes......The fate of Sidney is first and foremost...after putting that on the top of the CON list.....what are your thoughts regarding the rest???

I think the answer is pretty obvious if the merger does not go thru Sidney Nebraska will probably decline a little yet in terms of housing and the outlook for the future basically things will stay the same. The merger has two different situation. In one situation Cabela's and bass pro can write into the agreement (which was done for six directors already} a clause which offer some stability in their lives in case of a merger, Perhaps a severance pay which resemble what is acceptable standards or a agreement to keep Cabela's open in Sidney for a set period of time( I have heard for 3 years but lets stay for at least a year). In this situation I see a large decline in business and housing but still be in somewhat acceptable business outlook for Sidney. If no guarantees are offered except basically to the six directors I see basically a depression in Sidney Nebraska with perhaps 50 percent of the houses for sale. Probably more then half of the restaurants closing, etc.
