The only store closed in 2016 was Horton . Nordstrom had other full line in San Diego. meanwhile Macy's and Saks closed stores. Neiman Marcus should be doing closing of stores in 2017 . they are 4.9 Billion in debt on 4. 8 billion in sales. whoops... It's not that bad here, I know we struggle but comparatively it's not bad.

Look at auto sales & finance. The economy is rolling over and FLS are all set to be empty again.
Mens dept at Northgate has painful empty spaces in it every time I visit. Overall, definitely looks like less merch in the store.
And nobody is discussing the Manhattan FLS yet. If there are still B schools in 50 years, the textbooks will include a chapter case-study on this one.
