Lost lot of long term friends. Very emotional week. This is the time where we all have to lean in on each other instead of bashing others for stealing the job etc. Every one who lost the job have their own problems. Let us show empathy and recover from this situation. We all are humans first. It is tough for all and Walmart has to take this decision to become relrvant for the customers. I will be doing my part to help as many displaced associated irrespective of their color, age and gender.

You seem to allude that Americans are being replaced by H1Bs that are coming and having a heck of a time doing it. Nothing is further from truth. Walmart literally locks the H1Bs in bonded labor by doing the worst possible green card process for them, not promoting them to management by ducking shamelessly and comfortably behind the name of law when law does not mandate all that Walmart claims and spins to its own advantage. How many H1Bs do you see get promoted as often and to management positions enabling to do and contribute more? Do you know Walmart's policies in this area differ among Reston/Sunnyvale/Bentonville? You wonder why. This company remains a relic and will be at its own Peril.
I'm curious, who counts as an American? How many generations does someone's family need to be here to earn your empathy? If someone who moved to this country and became a citizen, are they not deserving? Or do they not count?

You sound very non chalaunt about Americans being displaced by cheaper h1b replacements. Wmt has chosen to skate the law and or fund politicians that support more endentured servitude known as h1bs.
