All audit teams are gone. I was an Audit lead and was given my package today along with my team.

Just another mess by a company that keeps making wrong decisions 1st was audit next is going to be photo and Jewelry and probably connections if they invested properly they would be making way more money but instead they just fired some of their most valuable Associates makes me worried about my own job security as a connections associate

Basically a weeks pay at your current rate for every year worked. But here's the kicker if I researched it right. It is cut in a separate check and taxed at a supplemental rate, which turns out to be 25% plus the percentages in social security and Medicare. Again if I figured right. Out of the 19,000 I was offered ,will be lucky to clear 12,000. Respect for the individual. Lmao.

Since this is all anonymous, what severance are they offering?

Think about this - If you fill out career preference and your availability ( of course who at this point really knows what other jobs really are about and what we really want to do ) and the GM offers you a job and you don't take it - I believe you loose your Severance package. Not sure, have to really check it out. However if you read it it says " you are not eligible if you receive a job offer comparable to your current position " Be careful!!!

It truly is loosing your whole identity. Not knowing what my future holds is absolutely terrifying to me. Makes me sick that 24 hours ago, I was being promised a promotion within the next few months and beginning to think about how it may be a good time to start a family. Tonight, I'm laying here with swollen eyes and a broken heart wondering wtf am I supposed to do now? My heart goes out to anyone else feeling the way I do right now.

Worked at Same Club in Audit for 15 years - 17 in the club. This is loosing your identity, trying to find who you will be in the future. Very sad and very scary!

I currently work at Sam's Club. When my club manager told us that the audit team was being eliminated... I was furious. Does shrink not matter anymore? I'm fairly new to my position as a lead in the fresh department, and the audit team were my best friends during fresh inventory. This company is moving in the wrong direction. I pray my former audit co-workers and everyone else throughout this whole company lands on their feet. Let's see who else they try to get rid of in the future...

Our audit team was let go also. There was just 2 of us. We had a third, but was fired in January. We were in total shock. No heads up or anything. Then they told us we had to train the leads how to do it! Taking the severance.

After 25 years with Sam's, called into the office along with my team, we were told the company has decided the audit team was no longer needed. Wow with the amount of shrink the company has, I guess they think the inventory will magicial be accurate. What really gets me is my manager had the guts after telling me yesterday I no longer had a job in audit, that there are audits that still need to be done this month. Yeah let me jump right on that. You can run a building but have no clue how to do the audit..

Manager: Can someone get a lift team together to get a patio set the member just purchased ? Item number is 858362. There are 2 of them in aisle 14 bay 11.

Floor partner: (after 5 minutes). There aren't any here.

Manager: But CIM says that there is!

CIM: /is an inaccurate mess after a couple months of no audit team updating it because no one else bothers.

Member:(after 45 minutes) /gets refund. Cancels membership.

Fact: Shrink isn't all the audit team did for the clubs. The constant cycle of audits through the year kept a far more accurate representation of what merchandise was still in the building. CIM still needs steady upkeep from a human with actual eyes to be a useful tool. Are the team leads who can't find time to work any of the reports involving merchandise gonna do it? Fat chance.

My question as a shareholder and also one of the one's affected. Who is going to do the numbers. My Intel states the D.F.W. Texas area clubs amass about 2 million dollars in stock shortages a year. Are the team leads going to pencil whip the audits like they do the no movement report. Myself ,personally after 25 yrs, think I gonna hang it up. And WILL NOT BE ATTENDING THEIR LONG TERM ASSOCIATE LUNCHEON. They can KMA.

they were told to career preference where they want to go..of course, positions must be available in clubs, as none will be created for anyone..most are full timers with years and years of service and experience..they must interview for the positions as they come open between now and june...how many full time positions are available at each club? very few if any i would suspect...neither walmart or sams employs very many full timers and most that are, are long term associates that were hired when sam was still alive and making good decisions for the company and cared for his associates and their families...those that have stuck it out in the good and bad for the company..most part time jobs most are 24 hours a week, that will result in a huge loss for the associates, as well as the economy...but of course, a huge savings for the company...what a shame!

other areas not affected yet, area teamleads will have to pickup some scheduled audits throughout the month, but nothing will fix the issues of theft and mistakes, miss ships, unreceived merchandise , etc...

kiss our sam's share goodbye within 5 years..just my opinion of course.....

Better be careful. IF you are one of the ones offered that severance, if you wait to find a job and don't, you lose the severance. You have to let them know if you want the severance BEFORE the June 5th deadline....FYI

The audit teams have been eliminated. They will continue to work in their existing club with no change in pay or benefits. They have 60 days to secure another position at their current facility , other sams club or Walmart's etc. At 60 days if they have not secured another position Severence is given to them. They can choose to just take severence and not wait the full 60 days. Best of luck to all who were impacted and their families.

Club positions, my husband was audit team lead with 2 others working with him. All audit teams company-wide are eliminated, average 3 associates per club. 23 years with the company, take a floor job for considerable pay cut or take the buyout. Thank you for your service.

true - after 24 years my wife was told the same thing - this isn't just shootong the messenger , it is executing them. The amount of theft is outrageous and no one really wants to know how bad it is (costs ,money to stop) so..... just stop counting it

Worked for Sam's for 18 years and was told today as of June 5th I may not have a job. I can apply for positions in and out of my club. But no guarantees. Was offered a pittance of a severance .
