My background is from a factory checking the Quality of product like phones, toasters etc. I never ever learn anything during these last 12+ years , my director does not care either, all I do In daily basis is to call quality alerts (which can be pretty much run by anyone) and take notes, that is my job. I am afraid once management outside Quality find out my team does I will be out the door and no one will hire me.

Good post OP. I always asked myself why 3-4 Quality guys showed up per meeting and there is no outputs from any.
@cea I know right? Feels like something big is about to happen. Like a human version of that silence in the jungle, when all the critters know the apex predator is near.
Hahaha last guy is from Quality and is getting offended. If you think is not true then prove yourselve and do something about it!! You and the whole Quality team is a bunch of losers.

Your fears are well grounded.
But if it's any consolation, soon it won't matter what anyone does or knows.
Watch what happens over the next 6 months. Getting laid off will be the least of your concerns, as well as everyone else.
