Turns out my coworker and friend had it out for me. We’ve been working together for several years and became, what I thought, were good friends until I found out from my manager that they had been reporting my criticism about the company and management decisions during our personal conversations to our manager. The news hit me like a bucket of cold water being dumped on my head on a cold winter day. The manager showed me copies of emails and internal messages were shared then wrote me up and suspended me until further notice from HR. I’m probably going to get fired but what pains me the most is being betrayed from someone I considered a close friend. I feel like a complete idiot for trusting another co-worker. I never saw this coming. Should I confront them now or wait until HR’s final decision?

I would beat the crap out of him. (Actually, I would pay someone else to do it.)
Your email and instant message is monitored. More now than before because they rather find a reason to fire you than give you a package. Don't do anything on work computer except work. U can get fired for it.
Having another worker that does not respect others is the main reason I hate to go to work. Name calling and backstabbing is a daily issue at wH
Decency disappeared a long time ago. dog eat dog is the way now.
Trust, loyalty, and faith are not in the oilfields dictionary and especially where Weatherford are concerned. They will put a guy in a position that he can't cope with and give him full support, (even though he is blatantly useless), as long as he reports back what he see's and hears. Even if he reports back the points the management know are correct hey will do nothing about it. Weatherford used to be a good decent company to work for until they started the takeovers over other companies and with it the poisoned culture that has now taken over. Until they sort that out they are doomed, too many building little empires and doing dubious deals instead of focusing on the job for the good of the company !!!!

Wow! A guy at Baker just posted this exact same story. Word for word. Maybe you two should get together and compare notes.
Wait and see. Any actions against the coworker may make it easier to fire you. Just be cool and know your enemy.
I feel like the same thing happened to me ! being betrayed by a close friend / coworker I think they knew they had it out for me. B--ches ! Not friends at all . I'm sure they are getting ready to fire you just waiting now they are laying the ground work... s---s nothing but backstabers , liars and cheaters left. They get rid of the good ones and only leave the ones willing to play the game and sell their souls.
sssssssssssssssss
You should know better than to trust anyone in this game. Trust no one and expect everyone to be a snake
Muskets at dawn I would say
