These transformation efforts are a joke. NetApp is cooking their books while senior management (empty suits) collect a check for doing nothing. It's a sh-- show at NetApp and always will be. I'm collecting a check, doing very little, and just waiting for the end.

you seem sincere.

regardless of what happens tomorrow i will follow up.

i have a lot of friends there, with families, mortgages, and kids with braces, etc.

it just bothers me that people on the site put fear into their lives.

i lived through that, after every layoff you were just a survivor of a nuclear war.

maybe you survived, but day 0 the worries begin.

i watch this site, not because i cannot let go, as one poster stated, but to find new talent.

it took two days, after i was let go to find a new position, making almost 40% more in compensation.

i was hired sight unseen, based on my reputation, from over 10 years at NTAP.

the grass is much greener outside NTAP. especially since PS there is dead, and they are pushing everything to partners and disty. if you have skills, you have no worries. execpt where to spend the additional money.

You are entitled to your opinion but I will be willing to wager any amount you wish that there will be cuts tomorrow. Am I happy about it? Not a chance. Am I worried I might be affected? Maybe a little but if it happens, it happens.

not sure how anyone has gotten messages regarding moving on. layoffs always start in the US, then Europe and Asia, usually Singapore are affected. that's the way its always been at least for the 7 i have survived. just another tool bag, trolling pretending he or she has a clue, realize most of these posts are BS even the dates, anyone who went to first grade can calculate end of quarter, and next quarter and pretend to predict layoffs, too many D bags here. and anyone pretending to be a director is just plain lying they all sign NDA. especially why would any of them post this site, when most of them are the ones who should be let go in the first place.

well, it's begun as I've already received two 'moving onto other opportunities' emails. Wish everyone the best and hope those affected come out of this in positions to move to a better situation.

Good luck to everyone. Tomorrow is going to be a rough day.

Hang in there and take advantage of the opportunity a layoff presents to find yourself in a much better situation that you may not yet even realize is out there

So there seems to be conflicting reports re the next layoff.

Will there or will there not be a layoff on Wednesday, March 8?

Know your rights. Employees over the age of 40 have 45 days to consider a severance offer in the event of a multi-person layoff.

I am a Director and as much as I hate these forced actions, I can tell you with absolute certainty that the layoff is still planned for this coming week.

I just overheard my manager talking in the stairwell on his way out of the office that "next week is gonna be another crappy week". From his demeanor all week combined with what he said on his phone call, I'm certain the layoffs are still on for next week as previously discussed.

Good luck to all.

Another high up trying to keep everyone from preparing for yet another layoff.

Shameful.
