SHC announced this evening they are out of cash. All severance pay will now be paid out in SYW points. Each impacted associate will receive 1 point for every severance dollar they have earned. Sears spokesperson says "We feel confident this action paired with the new employee discount program will help enrich our executives while ensuring the swift failure of the company. This is the next step in returning our CEO to profitability. We will no longer continue to borrow cash to make sure our associates are paid for their efforts."

To the points-commission poster: PLEASE don't give the company ideas like this.
At this point, as we circle the drain, I wouldn't be surprised if Eddie switched the commission pay to SYW points. We'd still get minimum wage for our hours; only because it's required by law.

How many points does it take to buy a $1 candy bar again... was it 10, 100 or 1000... 9 years with the company and I could still never make heads or tails of the SYWR program.
Sears is like a bad version of "Who's line is it anyways" 'All the rules are made up and the points don't really matter'
