For the rest of us who aren't in the know, what are the particulars of this rumor you've obviously heard? "It's BP." BP buying San Juan assets? The company? I doubt that.

Have you ever seen a ConocoPhillips contract. I had to deal with ConocoPhillips on the outside in the past I can tell you that they are nightmare pieces of petty details and terms. BP is probably still trying to get through the index it'll take another month to get to the addendum.
Think you're right. Probably would be required to sell off some of the North Slope acreage immediately.
