Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Amazing how people can change - or is this how they always were?

I worked at this place in the past, was gone for several years and went back (I know, I know, bad move, etc.). I was so amazed at how the low price environment had everyone turning on each other and how bad people were treating each other. I don't really think people can change that much, but just their true colors and beliefs start to come out when stressed. Anyone care to comment on what you think. For me I was at about a 10% ahole count when I worked their the first time, and about 50% the second. But most of the staff had not really changed, and the supervisors, well they were pretty much the same (I think I only every had one in 8 years that actually was a good supervisor, the rest were just ladder climbers and part of the ahole group).

They were always that way. And the company promotes it with their rankings and VCIP criteria.
