Culture of Q is disgusting

Everyone has to work for visibility and appreciation. If you don't have a senior dir or vp to back, promotion seems to be mission impossible infinity. From when, the culture is deteriorating to this low level.

Most engineers are quiet guys who just want to do their jobs nicely. It is the management who encourage this disgusting work culture. The evaluation is based on your visibility not based on how much work you did. The nepotism is widely spreaded in every organization in this company. People's are crazily kissing their powerful masters for protection. This culture makes QC a modern slave shop.

The culture used to be great but it slowly then rapidly decayed after Sanjay left. Sanjay was about to clean out the upper engineering exec ranks of the complacent dead wood but he then unfortunately left. We are now stuck with the remnants of a once great culture where there are layers of bureaucracy, project managers, an architecture team that doesn't have a clue, and SVP's that will stab their peers in the back given the opportunity. The only way to cure this is to get rid of the top engineering lead.

Qualcomm execs and upper management needs to understand that it needs to sheds it's skins every now and then. They need to get rid of old timers that have been around here for 15+ years.

These folks are simply deadwoods rest and vesters, doing minimal to get by if they are still engineers. And other old timers that are directors, SR directors or VP are mostly (not all though), butt sniffer and are there because of their connections and ability to play disgusting politics. Many in QCT, Linux, etc... team as well. Please get rid of them.

I am in Qualcomm and I just can't wait to resign. Once resigned, I will sue the company for all illegal and unethical managerial and HR actions. They under evaluate you based on vacations and sick leaves, they cause work injuries by overloading, and they under title you for given assignments and responsibilities. I will go for a class action so others can join. Ignorant, eragant and self centric managers mistreating engineers is an everyday routine, especially in San Diego where they face less compatition from other employers. Do NOT come to San Diego for Qualcomm alone, or you will be mistreated once they got you here.

Qc culture is going down $#it hole. Folks are getting too political and management more unethical. This kills innovation. I think these guys just want to make the company a chopshop run from the cheaper locations. They want to save money on labor costs but they fail to realize the impact due to bad products coming from chopshops that have 0 accountability. As folks say RIP qualcomm. I am on my way out because of unethical practices.
