Why would you want to true transparency? Why would you want to know who we are being sold to or when it will happen? Why would you want to know in a timely manner about whether you have to find a new place to live school for your children homecare for elderly parent? Why would you want to know if you need to look for a new job before you are dipping into savings to figure life out? Being a good neighbor company clearly does not equate to being a good employer ...shame on you ConocoPhillips once one of the most sought after companies in the area to work for is now the most hated. You are only treating your employees in San Juan this way because it is such a small town they have nowhere else to go they are fish in a barrell so you are taking advantage of it in full force. If you were not shady underhanded and overly greed milking that every last cent out of the new buyer you would have already announced to people their futures. Instead you let them sit and speculate scared and stressed because you hold the future of over 500 people in your greedy hand while you posture yourselves for a ridiculous townhall pressing your suits making yourselves look good to the outside world when deep down inside you know it is too late you are already now one of the worst places to be employed. Your name will now forever be nothing but negative when spoken in the basin for what you are doing. Where is your ACCOUNTABILITY LEADERSHIP?

We have to "shrink to grow."
The lack of "how we doing" teamwork and the ability to see the 2017 oil industry with all its flaws is a blessing. Anyone looking to write a book about how screwed up the world is should consider this a petri dish full of disparity and hypocrisy breeding a super species of cynical hairless apes.
Thanks for the job my friends!
'Its not just what we do, its how we do it'
and most of all it is senior management doing most of it to their own staff - who don't get millions, need the job and have been loyal for years. But COP will stab us in the back quick as blink.
Its all just business, right?
wait till the industry in Texas picks up - COP will look like a morgue, we won't need ec4, what remain can fit in RLs office
If COP is successful in effort to dispose of marginal NA assets (San Juan, Panhandle-Anadarko-Barnett, select Permian & onshore Gulf of Mexico), staffing & management of remaining assets (Eagle Ford, Bakken & Delaware) could be greatly reduced and consolidated in EC3 & EC4. Sale proceeds could be used to strengthen balance sheet...company would then be in preferred position for outright sale at premium value to shareholders. Employees would be placed w/ higher performing company....not as bad as it may appear.
Agreed! This company is not even a shadow of its former self. Sad
Because true transparency will show you how f*cked up this world is and send into a spiraling depression into nihilism. Western civilization died on the battlefields of France in WW1
To be an optimist...at least the great workers in San Juan might get to work for a better company when all is said and done. Sounds like PAB had its kickoff...no word on Permian or GOM yet. This is the start of Smart Growth...or really Smart Downsizing
There are plenty diligently searching for the next life raft off the COPtanic
This has been going on in Canada for the last two years; everytime you turn around, just more b---s---. Just say it won't stop with San Jaun. Just saying you might wanna get off the ship before it totally goes down. Just saying.
I think about 90% of the people at COP s---.
I will bolt that is for certain, but like any good American you are going to have to pay me to leave ;)
If COP does not sell San Juan I hope you own up to your words! If you stay with COP will you refuse their money or will you hide in the shadows and finish your time being the coward you are!
The "how we do it" is what makes ConocoPhillips unique.
It's not just we do, it's how we do it...
BRAVO!!!! This company is a sad shell of its former self
